Installing your new bar sink can be fairly simple, or incredibly elaborate. It all has to do with the kind of sink you purchase. If you made a decision to add a drop in type sink, as long as you already have a good sized hole in the counter top, the installation is easy. If you have decided on an undermount sink, installation can be a lot trickier. With a top load sink, you basically just need a hole in the counter the sink will drop in to. This type of sink has a flange, or lip, that operates all the way around the sink and sits on top of the counter top. Because this flange overhangs the counter, the edge of the gap does not have to be finished. Actually if the hole is sort of ragged, no one will ever find out as long as you use a top mounted sink. The sink can now be fastened from below the kitchen counter with screws and tiny plates that hold the drain in place.
