Installing your new bar kitchen sink can be fairly simple, or very elaborate. It all has to do with the sort of sink you purchase. If you agreed to add a drop in type sink, as long as you already have an appropriate sized hole in the counter top, the installation is easy. If you have decided on an undermount sink, installation can be a great deal trickier. With a top support sink, you basically just desire a hole in the counter the sink will drop into. This type of sink has a flange, or lip, that runs all the way around the sink and sits on top of the counter top. Because this flange overhangs the counter, the edge of the opening does not have to be finished. Actually if the hole is sort of ragged, no one will ever understand as long as you use a top installed sink. The sink can then be fastened from below the bar with screws and little plates that hold the kitchen sink in place.
