Installing your new bar sink can be fairly simple, or very elaborate. It all has to do with the sort of sink you purchase. If you decide to add a drop in type sink, as long as you already have the proper sized hole in the countertop, the installation is easy. If you have decided on an undermount sink, installation can be a whole lot trickier. With a top bracket sink, you basically just need a hole in the counter that the sink will drop into. This type of sink has a flange, or lip, that operates all the way around the sink and sits on top of the counter top. Because this flange overhangs the counter, the edge of the spot does not have to be finished. In fact , if the hole is sort of ragged, no one will ever know as long as you use a top installed sink. The sink can now be fastened from below the stand with screws and small plates that hold the drain in place.
