In the case of an undermount bar sink, the job is certainly more complicated. In fact, in most cases you will want to have a professional install the undermount sink. If you happen to contain a hole prepared within your counter matching the specs of your sink, you can undertake the job yourself. The actual mounting of the sink is not the hard part. The troublesome part is usually making and finishing the sink target. Since the sink mounts beneath the cabinet, there is no flange showing on the counter. This means the counter top has to have a curved and finished edge leading down to the sink. This is where you are very likely to need a professional. If you happen to already have a prepared hole for your undermount bar sink, you can set up the sink yourself if you are a little handy. When replacing your counter top along with adding a sink, the easiest way to install the sink is usually to do it before the counter top is installed. You can epoxy the sink to the counter as the counter is upside down. Following the sink has dried you can then install the counter while using sink already attached.
