If you happen to have a hole prepared inside your counter matching the specs of your sink, you can analyze the job yourself. The actual rising of the sink is not really the hard part. The tricky part is usually making and finishing the sink cup. Since the sink mounts beneath the cabinet, there is no flange exhibiting on the counter. This means the counter top has to have a rounded and finished edge top rated down to the sink. This is where you are very likely to need a professional. If you happen to already have a prepared hole for your undermount bar sink, you can mount the sink yourself if you are a little handy. When changing your counter top along with adding a sink, the easiest way to install the sink is always to do it before the counter top is normally installed.
