Installing your new bar drain can be fairly simple, or very elaborate. It all has to do with the type of sink you purchase. If you thought to add a drop in type sink, as long as you already have an appropriate sized hole in the counter top, the installation is easy. If you have decided on an undermount sink, installation can be a lot trickier. With a top load sink, you basically just need a hole in the counter that your sink will drop in to. This type of sink has a flange, or lip, that runs all the way around the sink and sits on top of the counter top. Because this flange overhangs the counter, the edge of the cup does not have to be finished. In fact , if the hole is sort of ragged, no one will ever understand as long as you use a top installed sink. The sink can then be fastened from below the bar with screws and tiny plates that hold the drain in place.
