Installing your new bar sink can be fairly simple, or incredibly elaborate. It all has to do with the sort of sink you purchase. If you thought to add a drop in type sink, as long as you already have the ideal sized hole in the countertop, the installation is easy. If you have decided on an undermount sink, installation can be a whole lot trickier. With a top bracket sink, you basically just need a hole in the counter that the sink will drop into. This type of sink has a flange, or lip, that runs all the way around the sink and sits on top of the counter top. Because this flange overhangs the counter, the edge of the spot does not have to be finished. In fact , if the hole is sort of ragged, no one will ever understand as long as you use a top installed sink. The sink is then fastened from below the counter with screws and tiny plates that hold the sink in place.
